Confidence Building

As a company we invest in staff and work towards building their confidence in a range of areas as we know that this will assist them in supporting the children in our care.
When some staff raised that they lacked confidence to support children with swimming activities, a free 10-week Swimming Confidence course was provided for all staff who wished to attend.

Annual Team Day

Each year, once the summer holidays are over, we all meet for our annual Team Day.
This comprises of a BBQ and team building games and allows staff from across the company to come together and celebrate their good work in helping the children have happy and active summer breaks.

Staff Christmas Meal

Every year Good News NWK thanks its staff for their continued support by providing a Christmas Meal or event for all staff within the organisation. This is funded by the company to show gratitude for the hard work that staff carry out.

Star of the month

At Good News NWK we like to recognise good practise and encourage both peer feedback, and feedback from the children that we support.
Each month staff and children from each home will submit votes detailing who they feel has shown outstanding practise that month and why.
This is then shared with the team, and the winner from each home is given a voucher as a token of our appreciation.
The Responsible Individual also regularly takes out monthly winners for lunch or coffee.
